Norfolk County, England partnered with Norfolk, VA in March, 1986. With a population of over 840,000, Norfolk County is located in the southeastern part of England known as East Anglia. It is a picturesque, rural county, famous for its quaint villages and medieval churches. Besides numerous seaside resorts along its North Sea coast, Norfolk has a unique group of inland lakes and waterways. Agriculture and tourism are important facets of its economy. The capital of Norfolk county is the ancient city of Norwich, located approximately 100 miles northeast of London.
